Fire Rated Glass in Unique Applications

Fire Rated Glass in Unique Applications

Fire rated glass has come a long way since wired glass and ceramics used in small door lites and openings. Today, fire rated glazing that meets ASTM E-119/UL 263/UL CAN-S101 up to 2 hours are being used to provide vision and transparency in fire rated storefronts, atriums, curtain walls, temperature rise doors and even floors. It can be further customized to protect against bullets, blast, hurricane, forced entry, UV, sound and more. Decorative and privacy make-ups are also possible.

As architects continue to push the envelope on what glass can do, we will continue to provide innovative products that meet the aesthetic, safety and performance demands of the project. Below are some unique applications of fire rated glass and framing to inspire designers to create safe and beautiful spaces with this product.
