The Kensington, a mixed-use residential building in Boston, faced a unique challenge challenge when its west-facing elevation required a 1-hour curtain wall due to property line constraints. To address this, SAFTI FIRST® provided a seamless fire rated solution using 1-hour fire resistive curtain walls along the lot lines. In addition, the fire rated curtain wall had to match the rest of the non-rated system, as well as pass rigorous dynamic testing.
